Our Activities Co-ordinator organises a regular programme of activities and entertainment, such as film afternoons, sing-songs, flower arranging, light exercise, bingo and board games. We arrange regular outings throughout the year, weather permitting, walking to town for lunch or strolling around the local market.
Daycare visitors are invited to take part in all our activities including outings.
The pastor of our local church conducts a weekly service at the home with the assistance of some residents’ relatives. Jonathan plays his guitar and encourages residents to join in their favourite hymns. This connection with the local spiritual community is cherished by many of our residents.
We love to celebrate the changing seasons and holidays with style.
At Christmas, we hold a party with a visit from Santa, a trip to see the lights, and a full traditional Christmas Day lunch. We also provide special meals on Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
At Easter, we make bonnets and do flower arrangements, holding a parade with prizes. Families and friends are always invited to join these joyous occasions.
We welcome residents, families, and visitors to regular coffee mornings with homemade cakes, bric-a-brac stalls, and prize draws.
Every resident's birthday is celebrated with banners, a decorated cake, and singing. Special milestones often include an afternoon buffet.
We enjoy trips to the local town, lunch outings, and visits to the park or garden centres to enjoy the community and local sights.
